BalanceWear by Motion Therapeutics
Many older adults or those with orthopedic or neurological conditions experience balance loss as a result of postural instability. BalanceWear© by Motion Therapeutics is a wearable garment that utilizes the placement of small weights to counterbalance the body. Our BalanceWear© certified therapist will assess your balance and place small weights (less than 1 pound) to the trunk to decrease balance loss.
LSVT Big is an evidence based, intensive, one on one treatment created to help people with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions. It uses training for larger amplitude movements to improve walking and balance and to improve function with daily functional activities.
Biodex Gait Trainer and Unweighing System
Hillcrest is proud to offer a top of the line gait training treadmill and harnessed unweighing system. The harness can be used with or without the treadmill. It allows the patient to safely practice standing or walking without risk of falling, off-weights a percentage of their body weight if needed, and boosts confidence, allowing them to focus on improving strength and mobility. The gait trainer treadmill has sensors that record step length and walking speed and provide the patient with audio and visual feedback to help them improve gait pattern and restore mobility.
